ANTHONY BARBERIO

Anthony grew up in Argentina playing soccer for Club Atletico Trinidad in the province of San Juan, Argentina. At the age of 17, he was awarded the Adidas Golden Boot winner for most goals at the Snickers US Youth National Championship. Anthony attended Hofstra University and Stony Brook University in New York, where he earned his degree in International Business. After his collegiate years, Anthony went on to play soccer at San Martin of San Juan, Argentina, as well as Long Island Rough Riders in New York, participating in USL 2. Anthony has been coaching soccer since the age of 18 years old for many local travel teams on Long Island, New York.

MARIANO BELEN

Mariano was born in Argentina where he began his career as a soccer player. He completed all developmental programs in Argentina and when he was 17 years old he obtained his first contract as a professional soccer player. Mariano played professionally for the Club Atletico Banfield and later came to the United States to play for the New York Fever, A-League. He began working with Globall Soccer in 2001 and continued his work as a coach with the Long Island Rough Riders until now.

As a coach, my philosophy is built from the likes of coaches Cesar Luis Mennoti and Pep Guardiola, to train my teams to be highly technical players, always being creative and offensive on the field. I am a high energy active coach that always gives 100% of myself to my teams, building confidence and passion to enjoy the game. I like to form sportsmanship in my teams and good character to perform on the field. It's not only about winning, especially with the younger ages, it's also about learning to be a good player inside and outside the field with plenty of discipline and respect.

JOHN KOKKORIS

John joined the East Coast FC coaching staff in July 2020 as the Boys Director of Coaching. Prior to joining East Coast FC, he founded Johan Juniors Soccer in 2015 which is a coaching organization that provides program building, training curriculums, and coaching staff to multiple youth soccer programs in Nassau County. John's Juniors Soccer style of play and repeated success across multiple teams and age groups quickly led to acclaim in the youth soccer community across the nation.

When asked about East Coast FC, John said, “East Coast is an exciting opportunity for us because after speaking with club management and Sporting Director Mariano Belen I can see this is a club with a lot of ambition and potential.  There is talent in both the players and the coaching staff, but more importantly I am impressed with the environment and the overall enthusiasm within the club. I am looking forward to the challenge.”

John holds his USSF “B” Coaching License, his USC Director of Coaching Diploma, in addition to attaining multiple certifications by NSPA.  In 2018, he graduated from Adelphi University in Business and Sports Management with a 3.98 GPA.
